At 12:50 noon today (12th), a woman and her friend went snorkeling at Lobster Bay in Tseung Kwan O. She was found drowning about 100 meters away from the sea. Her friend immediately called the police.
Police officers arrived at the scene and the fire rescued the 60-year-old woman surnamed Yan. She was in a coma and was sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for treatment. She was later certified dead. The cause of death of the woman has yet to be determined after an autopsy.
The police temporarily listed the case as drowning.
