Future mothers are finding it more and more difficult to park and access the city center.
In a bill tabled Tuesday, March 9, LR MP for Corrèze, Frédérique Meunier, shows her willingness to allow pregnant women to park in spaces reserved for the disabled.

The objective of "
facilitating rather than complicating
", can we read in this text carried by no less than 26 members of the hemicycle, which aims to authorize future mothers to benefit from the mobility inclusion parking card (CMI) - only for the last three months of their pregnancy.
They could thus affix the badge on their windshield to avoid any fine.
"
To be able to park in these reserved places, pregnant women must go to the prefecture to be given, after a declaration on their honor and a medical certificate, a badge with an expiry date
", specifies the proposal, which "
Will not exempt mothers-to-be from paying for their parking
".
A project that could be accompanied by stronger measures: the deputy Frédérique Meunier would also like parking spaces exclusively reserved for pregnant women, offered by the cities.
Some communities have already taken the plunge, such as Villennes-sur-Seine (Yvelines), which already offers them.
