Police today (Friday) arrested a 38-year-old father, who lives in a village near Afula, on suspicion of abusing his 6-year-old son with a disability, following a complaint filed by his ex-wife.
The suspect uploaded a photo to Facebook, in which his son is seen with his hands and feet handcuffed in a black strip, and next to the photo is written "when your son drives you crazy and does not let you mess with the cell phone."
The father suspected of the act was arrested and, at the request of the police, his detention was extended until next Tuesday.
The child was transferred to his mother.
About three months ago, the Israel Police launched an investigation that led to the arrest of a 44-year-old father, a resident of the south, on suspicion of brutally assaulting his 8-year-old son with a belt and causing injuries to his body. Yesterday (Thursday) he was arrested by the Ashkelon police and taken for questioning. His detention was extended until Sunday next week. On Monday this week, another case of abuse was published in the south, in which a 22-year-old man from a locality in the western Negev was suspected of abusing his seven-month-old daughter and causing her serious injuries.
