The Military Investigative Judge in Damascus, Lieutenant Colonel Louay Al-Afash, confirmed that the legislative decree number one issued by President Bashar Al-Assad today grants a general pardon for the full penalty for the perpetrators of the crimes of forgery, the use of forgeries, and the crime of manipulation with the intent to rid the soul of compulsory service if the taxpayers committed it before the date of the issuance of the decree.

Al-Afash explained in an interview with Syria today that the beneficiaries of the provisions of the amnesty are those assigned to the compulsory and reserve service of science, pointing out that the decree does not include the crimes of internal and external escape or crimes related to the law of military service.

Al-Afash indicated that those assigned who committed forgery or manipulation crimes with the intention of ridding themselves of the service stipulated in Article 109 of the Military Penal Code and those who are at the head of military service benefit from the decree. As for those who have not yet joined compulsory service, the legislator has given them three months to settle their status and join Service to become fully beneficiaries of the provisions of the decree.

The Military Investigative Judge in Damascus indicated that the beneficiary of the provisions of the decree is the victim, considering that it is not possible to compare the victim with those who deceive people and make them trap of forgery or manipulation by any means in order to rid oneself of military service, pointing out that the benefit went towards the weak of determination as for those who have spoiled Their debts will not benefit from the provisions of this decree.

Al-Afash divided the beneficiaries of the amnesty into two parts, the first of whom committed their crimes before joining the military service, i.e. those in the military service and who only have to review to make sure that they benefit from the decree. The second section are those who have not yet joined the service and they must settle their status within three months from the date of the decree's issuance. .

Al-Afash explained that what distinguishes this decree from its predecessors is that it completely included the offense of criminal forgery, while the previous pardon decrees included the half, quarter or third, stressing that the implementation of the decree had begun directly, indicating that a number of judges went to prisons to apply the provisions of the pardon and study files to determine who would benefit from it to release Set him free.

Al-Afash indicated that the crimes of forgery in the service of knowledge, such as for the taxpayer to record contrary to the truth that he is postponed or exempt for a health reason, or other than these matters that fall within the framework of forgery and the presentation of false documents, stressing that the decree abolishes the penal provisions where the person is released directly if he is arrested and the ruling is canceled if he is sentenced from His criminal record.
