Across the Channel, the impact of Covid is combined with that of Brexit.
Economic indicators went back into the red in January, under the effect of another turn of the sanitary screw and the effective exit of the United Kingdom from the Customs Union.
Exports of goods fell 19.3%, including a drop of 41.3% to the EU, despite the trade agreement between Brussels and London.
For their part, imports fell by 21.6% with, again, a more marked drop, of 29%, from the EU.

The National Statistics Organization (ONS) also highlights the restrictive measures that weigh on international trade.
