A week ago, the general practitioner pulled out all the stops to vaccinate authorized persons as quickly as possible.
For the resolute doctor, the action is an immense feat of strength, but she also feels she has a duty to her patients.
“The vaccination center asked the general practitioners who would participate.
We got in touch, ”said Gerster.
The AstraZeneca vaccine is used, the doses are obtained from the Erding vaccination center.

Other doctors are still in discussion with the Corona vaccination center.
For the organization and implementation of the corona vaccinations, which run alongside normal operations in Gerster's practice, the doctor had to increase both staff and technology.
“It is an incredibly high bureaucratic effort,” the 51-year-old annoys.
“You would need at least three more consultation hours”.
When it was certain that she was there, the doctor asked friends who could help.
"Fortunately, two of my friends from Reithofen help with the organization and documentation."
This includes not only the allocation of appointments by telephone, but above all the extensive data collection - a multi-page questionnaire must be completed for each patient.
"We have now organized an additional laptop for this," explains the Reithofen resident.

The possibility of simply scanning the data is currently still unsuccessful due to the technology.
“A special scanner that we bought extra over the weekend is not compatible with the system.
Of course, that slows you down a bit. "
When asked about her approach, the doctor explains;
"I searched my card index for patients who fall into prioritization group 2." These are not only people who are over 70 years old, but also a whole range of people with previous chronic illnesses.
But nursing staff are also included.
"The result was twenty pages with names and addresses," says Gerster.
People are now called and appointments are made with them.
150 vaccinations per week: family doctor from Bavaria wants to act quickly against Corona
The doctor and her extended team work under high pressure in the Reithofen practice to vaccinate 150 doses per week - 100 on Wednesday, 50 on Friday.
After all, the practice and home visits continue as normal.
"The dates for the next four weeks have already been taken," explains Gerster.
If individual appointments are canceled or not kept, the vaccine should not expire.
“There is a replacement list, first responders are on, then fire service employees.
They are often called to accidents and do not know whether they can be infected there ”.
