Thousands of law enforcement personnel will be in the streets this weekend in Paris and in the inner suburbs.
The Paris police headquarters, responsible for the capital and the three departments that surround it (Seine-Saint-Denis, Hauts-de-Seine and Val-de-Marne) announced this Friday that 4,000 people will be on the ground for " ensure compliance with health measures ”as part of the measures taken against the Covid-19 pandemic.
“It remains of particular importance that barrier gestures are respected by everyone and everywhere,” she emphasizes.
Police officers and gendarmes will focus their attention on "groups of people in which respect for barrier gestures cannot be guaranteed", she adds.

The institution specifies that "prevention" will be carried out in order to "recall (...) the necessary respect for sanitary measures".
In the event of “massive” regroupings without respecting the rules “temporary evacuation operations of public spaces, immediately followed by their reopening, would be implemented in the same way as last weekend”.
Last week, the quays of the Seine were evacuated in Paris, Saturday, during the afternoon.
A disagreement then appeared in the public square between the prefecture and the town hall of Paris on the conditions of this evacuation, leading the prefect Lallement to apologize to the mayor Anne Hidalgo.

The prefecture finally recalls that wearing a mask is mandatory, that gatherings are limited to 6 people, that the curfew runs from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. and that alcohol consumption is prohibited in several streets of the capital.
Failure to comply with the instructions may result in a fine of 135 euros.
