With increasingly perfidious methods, fraudsters try to get at sensitive data and ultimately the money of their victims.
Now the police in Holzkirchen are warning of a new scam in which the wrong bank employees and the wrong police officers work together.
The methods are becoming more and more perfidious.
After an otter finger was harassed by false police officers on the phone on Wednesday, six more cases were reported to the real Holzkirchen police - and a new scam.
On Thursday, unknown callers reported to three people from Holzkirchen as "Munich Criminal Police" and claimed that the neighborhood had been broken into two hours earlier.
The people called did not give out any personal data, but rather inquired exactly.
The callers then hung up.
False bank employees and false police officers trick victims into believing that they are helping
On Friday there were also three calls with a different variant in Holzkirchen: An alleged bank employee said he had noticed a “strange” transfer on the account of the person called or their relatives and blocked it “as a precaution”.
He then gives the called party the name and phone number of another fake policeman who then tries to get personal or financial details or access to the account.
This did not happen in the three reported cases, the police said.
She appeals to remain vigilant and, if in doubt, to report to relatives or the police: 0 80 24/9 07 40.
