The Independent Commission Against Corruption today (12th) confirmed that a small house (small house) real estate development project in Yuen Long was suspected of being involved in corruption and fraud investigations. "Hong Kong 01" confirmed from multiple sources that one of the arrested persons was "The King of Small House" and Wang Guangrong, the founder of Wang Pan Law Firm.
His eldest son is the former vice chairman of the Yuen Long District Council. He appeared at the scene in the 2019 Yuen Long West Rail Station 721 attack.
It is understood that the small house estate involved is the "Xiaomen".

In response to media enquiries, the ICAC stated that it had received a corruption complaint earlier, alleging that real estate developers, intermediaries and indigenous residents were suspected of conspiring to "set up" with corruption and fraud, and made a complaint to the Lands Department when applying for the construction of a small house. A false statement, falsely claiming that the original inhabitant concerned is the only legally registered owner of a certain lot, and claiming that there is no agreement between the real estate developer and the original inhabitant to transfer or dispose of the right of the original inhabitant to develop the lot.
After investigation by the ICAC, it was discovered that the relevant real estate developer was suspected of using an intermediary to acquire Ding rights from the original residents of Yuen Long District for tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars, and then concentrated on developing a large-scale real estate project for profit. Some of them offered or received benefits and conspired to defraud.
During the operation, the ICAC searched a number of locations, including the office of the real estate developer and a law firm.
As the investigation is still ongoing, the ICAC should not comment further.
The Lands Department provides full assistance during the ICAC investigation.
