Today, sit-ins and protests were renewed in a number of Lebanese regions due to deteriorating living conditions and high prices.

The Lebanese capital Beirut witnessed more protest demonstrations that started in front of the Ministry of the Interior, where the protesters took the road from the Bank of Lebanon on Hamra Street towards the Parliament, denouncing the economic conditions and financial policies, while some demonstrators threw fireworks towards the Council Square.

Protesters staged a sit-in in the city of Chtaura, during which the international road was cut for some time, and some demonstrators closed the entrances to a bank in the city and forced employees to leave.

Protesters also blocked many roads in the Lebanese regions, while the Lebanese army and security forces units opened them.

Since October 17, 2019, many Lebanese regions have witnessed demonstrations and sit-ins to protest against the deteriorating living and economic conditions and to demand the fight against corruption in the country.
