What is the mysterious figure found in Chernobyl?

(TIKTOK/@HIDDEN.ON.GOOGLE.EARTH)

Google Maps' street viewing service makes it possible to reach almost all the most isolated and scary places in the world - including the ghost towns surrounding the Chernobyl nuclear reactor.

On April 26, 1986, radioactive materials leaked from the Chernobyl nuclear reactor in northwestern Ukraine and led to the most serious nuclear accident since man learned to harness the power of the atom.

A huge explosion occurred in the reactor and the radioactive materials at its core broke out and spread over about 30 km where to this day the Ukrainian government bans people from living. The

city of Pripyat was evacuated within a few days from tens of thousands of residents, most of whom were forced to leave their homes. It remains abandoned and neglected to this day - evidence of this can be seen in the fact that to this day communist propaganda posters remain hanging around the city. However, the animal world began to prosper precisely after the disaster and human departure, despite the heavy pollution. Much vegetation began to grow uninterrupted in city streets. Even within the houses themselves. The animals also took advantage of the human departure; many species of animals and birds multiplied in the area, some rare and others not documented in the area before the disaster. The

city is in a quarantine area to this day, so access is restricted. The tourists arrive with a happy guide, are asked to present certificates when entering the area, and the level of radiation on their clothes is contagious to those who leave.

Of course, the area can be explored as tourists temporarily, but or

It's better for me to do it from home using Google's website or app - where you can see how the disaster created a ghost town.

But the Daily Star reported a surfer who did just that and caused a stir on the net - after documenting during a virtual tour of the city a character he claimed looked like a ghost.

Tiktok user @ hidden.on.google.earth shared his scary finding and left it to the hundreds of thousands of people who watched it to decide for themselves what it was.

Solved the mystery of the "alien from Chernobyl" who is in a closed and mysterious city?

Pripyat Post Office (Photo: Screenshot, TIKTOK/@HIDDEN.ON.GOOGLE.EARTH)

The video shows him zooming in on the old post office in the city of Pripyat.

The building was abandoned as stated after the Chernobyl disaster in 1986, and everything left inside rotted.

In the video you can see letters and telegrams thrown on the floor with strange colors on the walls, but then another item is discovered that does not seem to belong.

When the camera turns, there is a character who claims to look like a ghost standing on the window and pointing at the camera.

It is impossible to see her face, because she is wearing a robe.

Tens of thousands of viewers flooded the comments to the video in an attempt to share their experiences from the harsh look and many were convinced it was a "faceless ghost", but others suggested the much more logical possibility that it might just be a small statue, but it did not convince anyone who believes in a natural owner.

"I thought it was a statue at first, but there is no doubt that it is a distorted person looking at the camera," the skeptics wrote.

Then skeletons with handcuffs were discovered near the disaster site

It is true that chances are it is really a sculpture but the next discovery is a little harder to catalog.

Just two weeks after the release of this video, Tiktok released another video - much more creepy.

Another Google Maps user posted a video in Tiktok under the name googlemapsfun featuring what looked like the remains of a human body and a set of handcuffs - which he found while exploring the reactor area itself at Chernobyl.

In a video he posted under the headline "This is Chernobyl" you can see a pile of bones scattered on the ground and next to it what looks like rusting handcuffs.

Despite the tumultuous reactions to the bones, the British Sun, which reported these bizarre findings, estimated that there was a good chance they belonged to an animal and not a human, as the town had not been inhabited for decades and people who died in the disaster were radiated in the days after the blast. Concrete - because they were still radioactive after death.

In contrast, large mammals such as bears, wolves, foxes, bison, deer and elk have since made Chernobyl their home and so there is a good chance that these are the bones of one of them.
