The head of the Police Investigations and Intelligence Division this weekend imposed an investigation into the case of ZAKA chairman Yehuda Meshi Zahav on the national unit for fraud investigations in Lahav 433. This was after the police announced yesterday morning (Friday) that they will open an examination of evidence against the new Israel Prize winner. Following the opening of the police investigation, Meshi Zahav announced that he was giving up the Israel Prize.
In a letter sent by Golden Silk to ZAKA volunteers, he wrote: "I am an 11th generation Jerusalemite.
