Citizen Service Center opened in Lattakia Telecom

Today, the Ministry of Communications and Technology has put into service the Citizen Service Center in the Apamea department in the city of Lattakia, which is currently securing the issuance of civil registry documents from “an individual and family registration statement, marriage, divorce and death ...” and an ungoverned and non-working document, and later integrated electronic services.

The new technical and administrative building for the branch of the General Authority for Wireless Communications Services in the governorate was also opened in Damsarkho district, which aims to grant the branch the necessary privacy to perform the work assigned to it, which includes part of the governorates of Hama and Idlib by gathering workers and technicians in one place.

The Minister of Communications and Technology, Eng. Iyad Al-Khatib, stated that the Citizen Service Center in Apamea is one of the important centers that will provide services for extracting documents and organizing transactions, and that within two weeks the center will be qualified to provide electronic services with the e-citizen service center that was opened in Damascus.

On the expansion of the gates, Minister Al-Khatib indicated that about 1024 gates were allocated in the Tishreen Telephone Center in Lattakia, and that they entered the service. Additional, including a gateway to Latakia Governorate, will be distributed according to priority.

Minister Al-Khatib praised the efforts made by the telecommunications sector in the governorate during which all telephone services were restored in villages and areas that were exposed to fires within 22 days, indicating that there is a plan for Syria Telecom to secure alternative energy through new projects under announcement to secure solar energy for all governorates and rural centers to avoid service interruption when Blackouts.

Eng. Ahmed Al-Hayek, Director of Lattakia Communications, said in a statement to SANA that the Citizen Service Center represents a step towards improving the services provided and moving towards electronic services.

On the administrative building of the Public Authority for Wireless Communications Services branch, which consists of four floors, Dr. Muhammad Malik Asaad, the branch manager, explained that the opening of the building comes as a continuation of the series of projects launched by the ministry to be technical and administrative headquarters for workers, indicating that the branch provides its services through 3 wireless networks that provide coverage for the province with the wireless network Unified national.

The opening of the two centers was attended by the Governor of Latakia, Ibrahim Khader Al-Salem, the Secretary of the Latakia Branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, Engineer Haitham Ismail, the Chairman of the Provincial Council, Eng. Tayseer Habib, and the two general directors of the Syrian Telecom Company and the General Authority for Wireless and Postal Services.
