The unit for the investigation of fraud in Lahav 433 is the only one that will examine the evidence against the chairman of the ZAK, Yehuda Meshi Zahav, according to which he allegedly sexually assaulted children, men and women.
This, after the task was initially assigned to the Investigations and Intelligence Division of the Israel Police.
An investigation published on Thursday in the Haaretz newspaper revealed testimonies of children, boys and girls who claim to have been sexually assaulted and exploited by the chairman of the ZAKA.
The six testimonies detail that gold silk used, ostensibly, to systematically exploit its status over many years to impose itself on the victims.
According to the investigation, the members of the chastity guards in the ultra-Orthodox society knew about the acts, as did the police - who had difficulty convincing the victims to testify against him.
