The US Department of Justice announced that 100 people are expected to be charged in the violence that occurred during the storming of the Capitol by supporters of former US President Donald Trump.
"The federal prosecutors demanded a 60-day delay in cases related to acts of violence due to the large influx of suspects and the evidence revealed in the months following the attack," Fox News quoted the ministry as saying today.
It is noteworthy that groups of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol building on January 6 in an attempt to prevent Congress from ratifying Biden's victory, which led to the outbreak of violence and riots that killed five people.
