Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh condemned the terrorist attack on an Iranian merchant ship in the international waters of the Mediterranean.
Khatibzadeh said in a statement today that “the reports received about the sabotage attack on the ship confirm that it constitutes a clear violation of international law and the law of the sea,” explaining that “taking the necessary measures to identify the factors involved in this sabotage act is on the agenda of the various units and that the necessary follow-ups in this regard. Take seriously in various dimensions ”.
A few days ago, an Iranian merchant ship was hit by a terrorist attack that caused a partial fire that was controlled by the ship's crew.
The American Wall Street Journal revealed, citing US and regional officials, that the Israeli occupation entity had targeted Iranian ships and oil tankers with naval mines in attacks carried out in the Red Sea and other areas in the region.
