Since his first work as a filmmaker, the Brazilian Gabriel Mascaro, born in Recife in 1983 and graduated in Social Communication from the University of Pernambuco, has resorted to documentaries to face the record of the daily life of his country, perhaps with the hope of discovering the structure of its tensions.
In his later works, Mascaro has embraced fiction to continue his portrait of the society in which he lives.
