The LREM candidate in the regional elections in Île-de-France, Laurent Saint-Martin, says he wants to create a “
regional police
” by calling on private companies for high schools.

It will have to be made consistent with regional competences, therefore focusing exclusively on public transport and high schools,
” said the deputy for Val-de-Marne in an interview with the JDD.

According to him, “
this new Île-de-France Mobilités police force, placed under the authority of the President of the Region, will complete and coordinate the patchwork today made up of the Suge (General surveillance of the SNCF) and the Security of the RATP.
It will also be complementary, in transport, to the national police and municipal police
”.

I will recruit or contract 500 agents from the first year for an annual cost estimated at 80 million euros

establish a hybrid model

the regional recovery plan primarily on the decarbonisation

In 2020, around 20,000 electric vehicles were sold in Île-de-France, 17% of national figures.
We were at 10,000 in 2019. If the Region distributes a conversion aid of 5,000 euros on average per vehicle, we will be around 100 million euros,
