With bloody hands, this man of Senegalese origin was immediately apprehended by the police and taken into police custody.
Returned to the address indicated by the suspect, in an apartment in downtown Mably, the police officers did indeed discover the lifeless body of a woman, lying on her bed in a pool of blood.
"It was by opening the bedroom door that the police discovered the young woman on the bed, lying on her back and obviously killed by several stab wounds in the neck and in the carotid artery"

Two bloodstained knives were also found near the bed where the victim was lying.
"One of these weapons with the blade broken in two, which suggests the violence of the blows to the victim,"
said the magistrate.
And to add that
"the intention to kill is beyond doubt"

A couple flailing
According to initial investigations, the crime was committed between 2:30 am and 5 am.
"Neighbors explained that they heard screams that could be compared to a couple's argument

In the victim's apartment, no trace of a struggle was also noted.

According to the mother of the disappeared, her 32-year-old daughter had been having an affair with the suspect for about seven months but the two had been separated for two months.
The prosecutor said for his part that there was no history of dispute or handrail filed by the victim against his alleged murderer.
An investigation was opened this Saturday by the prosecution for acts of flagrant murder on a spouse or partner.
The defendant, who incurs life imprisonment, will be presented before an investigating judge during the evening and should most certainly be presented on Monday at the criminal center of Saint-Etienne for the opening of a judicial investigation.
The prosecutor has already indicated that his police custody would be extended this Sunday evening.
