Jens Spahn turns on lawyers: trouble with the land registry
Because the office had passed the specific figures on to journalists, the CDU politician has now called on his lawyers - it has violated data protection.

Initially, Spahn had complained directly to the office, but this had let him down - just like the district court Berlin-Schöneberg, which stated that "the press has a right to inspect a land register as part of journalistic research or a corresponding right to information".
“Simply nothing”, Minister Spahn, on the other hand, justified mentioning that the authority had behaved “largely unlawfully”.
Spahn sees "principles of data protection disregarded".

Spahn had bought the villa together with his husband Daniel Funke in southwest Berlin the previous year.
His real estate business had come into the public eye, as he also owns two apartments, one of which he had bought from a former pharmaceutical manager - he later made him head of the state-owned digitization company Gematik.

reports that Spahn's anger was initially directed not against the office, but against the journalists.
