Gantz clarified: "We will continue to take defensive preventive action ourselves, and if the Iranians send weapons to Hamas, Hezbollah or Islamic Jihad, we will work to thwart these shipments as much as possible."

Gantz outright ruled out the possibility that he would rejoin Netanyahu, saying that he would support anyone who could gain the Knesset's trust in his place and accept the blue and white principles.
"Netanyahu betrayed the credit they gave him, and I will never forgive him and I will never be with him again," he said.
He added that it was "critical" that blue and white pass the blocking percentage so that he could be the "gatekeeper" of democracy, partly because if Israel is dragged into another election campaign that continues into the winter, he should serve as an alternate prime minister for part of the term.
