A metal cylinder fell from a crane and hit a vehicle on Ayalonf lanes. The driver was slightly to moderately injured

Jonathan Deri, a 24-year-old student from Tel Aviv, was driving today (Sunday) in his vehicle on Ayalon Road when a large metal cylinder suddenly fell on the front of the vehicle between the Halacha interchange and Arlozorov.

Deri was injured in the limbs and was rushed to Ichilov Hospital in the city in a mild-moderate condition.

Deri described at the hospital the incident that happened while he was making his way towards the post office.

"I was driving on the road and suddenly I heard a big boom," says Deri.

Deri says that he felt very lucky not to be harmed in a more serious way.

"A great miracle happened to me. I still do not digest what happened because I could have died today," he said, "this is a day when I have to say retribution."

MDA medic Eitan Gavra, who arrived at the scene of the incident, said that "the vehicle that passed on the highway was hit by a large metal cylinder that fell from a crane and hit its front part.
