After Alberto Fernández's speech in Congress and Cristina Kirchner's verbal shrapnel against Justice, Marcela Losardo decided to leave when she learned that her friend and longtime partner
had abandoned those ideas for which he had summoned her to his cabinet
.
Worse still, the critical positions of the current President on how Cristina Kirchner wanted to manipulate the judges' decisions in her favor, had already been left hanging on the door of the Casa Rosada, paraphrasing what Néstor Kirchner once said but in the opposite direction.
The fall of Losardo is a
consequence of the loss of authority
, something that has already become a trend.
Now, it seems to be the turn of Martín Guzmán, who also learned in Congress that the government is going to prosecute, in addition to Macri, those who granted the multimillion dollar loan to Argentina.
The minister has to go and explain to the Monetary Fund that he needs an agreement but that it would be better to postpone it until after the elections but that, with an electoral objective,
there will be a judicial offensive against those who approved the mega loan
.
It is quite difficult to understand for the authorities of the IMF and much less for the government of Biden.
And much more difficult to explain for the troubled Guzmán who, when he feels less pressured, says quite rational things about how to stabilize the Argentine economy as he did in Catamarca, except that to apply his ideas
a political power
is
needed of which it is seen that lacks
.
Sergio Massa and Máximo Kirchner support him, knowing that Cristina continues to drink from the ideas of Axel Kicillof, and that is what is worth.
But Guzmán cannot become what he is not because he knows, as his mentor Joseph Stiglitz knows, that this path, although the improvement of some symptoms appears to be, fuels even more the serious disease of the Argentine economy.
The postponement of the agreement until after the elections, which is what seems to have already been decided, has only one possible reading:
the Government does not want to be tied to commitments that reduce room for maneuver to try to win the mid-term legislatures
.
Presidential bluster is permeated by that concern.
Kirchnerism has already lost legislatures with De Narváez, Massa and Bullrich, in the province of Buenos Aires, a key bastion.
He knows that to renew the 18 seats he is risking (out of 35 at stake) he must make an exceptional choice, a bar that is too high.
That fear also spreads to other electoral outposts of Peronism where they perceive that the impact of the crisis and the pandemic has undermined the confidence of sectors that had trusted Fernández.
Alberto no longer has Ginés González García or Losardo or Bielsa, also fired by Cristina.
Now the siege of Guzmán began to play the ideological music that delights Vice.
