The Corona crisis has changed the world we have known and led to many revolutions, especially in our homes that have also been used for more than a year as an office, restaurant and school, at the same time.

At the end of a comprehensive anthropological study, in-house researcher Orly Robinson and applied anthropologist Tamir Leon developed an innovative design method adapted to the new reality and based on innovative design of the space to simultaneously enhance the parenting experience and commitment to work organization.

The new hybrid home method they have developed, they claim, allows us to dive into our real needs as a family as organizations enter homes, successfully fighting the two living environments: home and work, under the same roof.

True, it is likely that at some point, when the corona will be a distant memory, we will return to work in work complexes and offices but until then, many of us are still trying to adjust to a life routine in which we work full or part of the home.

The hybrid home method developed by Israeli architecture bookmaker and home researcher Orly Robinson and applied anthropologist Tamir Leon was built in light of the chaos created in homes and the erosion of the employee following the entry of the workplace into his home.

While companies and organizations save capital while their employees work from home (property taxes, rentals, parking and company car maintenance) the employee does not receive benefits or tax deductions and is forced to organize an impromptu office at the heart of things.

The transition to a hybrid work model began even before the corona burst into our lives, but the year 2020 was a catalyst for the process.

Despite the desire to return to routine soon, it seems that quite a few organizations will maintain the model even after the crisis.

As a result, the captains of the companies will have to take responsibility for the work environment of the employee in his home and in the process, show concern for his well-being at home and for the well-being of his family members.

According to Robinson and Leon, everyone who works from home in the past year is aware that the equation has changed and the traditional work model, in which the employee holds an organizing ceremony every morning, drives to the company in the company car Meetings and conferences with members during and after the work day are experiences that have strengthened and developed the employees' connection to the organization, work productivity and the joy of doing. In the work model from home not only are many vital experiences not reflected, but also a new partner in the home and family. Really get an invitation, "Leon explains.

"The organization is a new partner in the house, coming in without really getting an invitation."

Indeed, it is clear that many employees have become frustrated in the past year: "They are left with only the work itself and the tasks, everything is practical, lacks a shell and habits and as a result the level of employees' connection to the organization decreases," Leon adds.

"We are already witnessing the phenomenon of vital workers leaving the organizations, who are required to intervene and provide employees from home with influential tools."

The good news is that this has a solution and can be improved with the new reality: "In order to organize a hybrid home, which will include an effective work environment, more than a table and chair are required, and conventional interior design solutions are not enough to provide a complete solution," Robinson explains.

"One should research and understand the behaviors of family members at home at any given moment: hours and forms of behavior, traffic routes and places. The hot bed method can be an option and the hot table method is an option. The idea is to provide movement inside the home and changing experiences, new and exciting. They will make it easier for the members of the household and give them, together and separately, the best feeling. "

Start from Maslow's pyramid of needs, and from there move on to the new design.

The work process includes research based on Maslow's pyramid of needs principles: the home and family are supposed to provide basic needs of sleep, food, hygiene and the like, needs of security, belonging and appreciation and also self-fulfillment as much as possible.

The data and aspirations create the puzzle that is supposed to be translated into changes in the physical space of the home and "routines" - that is, the conduct of the family members.

"It's a process that requires us to adapt to a different perception of the territories of the household, of privacy and publicity (with forward thinking about children becoming teenagers), of respectful and empowering relationships and of work areas."

Robinson explains.

"We need to re-look at the home space and understand what the priorities are if we want to keep a family that is not only functioning but also growing. In short, we need to connect the words HOME and HOUSE with work."

The combination, which is based on anthropological research for emotional needs and providing solutions in interior design and lifestyle tools, is the innovation in the hybrid home method, and in the new arrangement there is also an opportunity: For working outside, "Leon explains.

"This is not about 20 minutes of sports or a conversation with the parents, but the possibility of being much more - more spouse, more parent, person with deeper social ties and generally develop more. It depends of course on the employee and the organization understanding the size of the hour and not taking advantage of time. Who took the time to talk about what they know to do well - to work much harder. "
