A serious indictment was filed in the Haifa District Court (Sunday) against a 19-year-old man from Jisr a-Zarqa, for the brutal murder of the elderly resident of the elderly village, Hilmi Jarban, 77, which he set on fire to death.

The horrific incident took place on the evening of Saturday, February 12, against the background of an argument that broke out that afternoon in Kafr Qara, between Khader, the deceased's son, and a pair of sisters, family members of the young cousin, Suhil Jarban, who is accused of murder In aggravated circumstances and arson

when Khader returned to the village of Jisr a-Zarqa and

uttered

curses near the house of these cousins, 24-year-old Muhammad Harbai and 32-year-old Musalah Harbai, the incident escalated into a mutual violence that later included Nasra, his widow. 65 of the deceased, who is the mother of Khader, and the cousins in question.

An indictment filed against them last week in the Hadera Magistrate's Court states that Muhammad tried to stab Khader who smashed a bottle on the head of Muhammad who was wounded, and that when the mother was found Muhammad hit her with sticks, Muslah threw chairs at her, and left her to take her home. For medical treatment they threatened to "take down your son".

Today's indictment states that the young man, Suhail Jarban, was wearing a hoodie at the time, wore gloves on his hands, was equipped with a bottle containing gasoline, took a lighter with him and went out to carry out the deadly arson.

According to the indictment, shortly after 7 p.m., he arrived on foot near Walid Amash's kiosk, a few meters from the house of Nasra and Hilmi, wearing a Corona mask over his face, the bottle on his body and his hands hidden in his pockets.

The elderly Hilmi, father of 7 and grandfather of grandchildren, made a living from scrap collecting, was a fan of current affairs and was known as someone who used to sit in his car to listen to the news, then got out of the car to allow his son Moin to get out of the parking lot and take Nasra for medical treatment.

The indictment states that when Hilmi returned the vehicle to the parking lot, and while in the vehicle, Suhail Jarban approached him, reached near the driver's door, poured gasoline from the bottle on the elderly man and the interior of the vehicle and lit the fire with the lighter.

The elderly Hilmi immediately started to catch fire as Suhil fled the scene towards the kiosk when his right glove caught fire and he threw it on his way.

The indictment reveals that he continued running towards the main street in the village, and from there towards his house.
