As first reported in Israel today last weekend, the skies in Israel are expected to open.

According to the position formulated by the government, restrictions on flight destinations will be lifted and airlines from most countries of the world will be able to operate flights to and from Israel, in accordance with the limit on the number of passengers.

Now, airlines from all over the world will be able to operate flights to Israel, but only 3,000 Israelis will be able to enter the country every day.

The decision to continue limiting the number of people entering the country each day is in order to succeed in maintaining and enforcing the issue of isolation, which in larger numbers of those entering the country has been alarmingly violated in the past.

Today, only 1,318 passengers are expected to land in Israel, despite the permit to bring 3,000 passengers into the country every day.

Industry sources make it clear that there is currently a good demand for returning to Israel and for flights abroad, but the numbers are significantly lower than what the government approves, so there is no pressure to enter Israel in the coming days.

Vaccinated and recovering people will not have to go into isolation upon their return to Israel and will be able to fly to any country that accepts Israelis.

Before returning to Israel, the vaccinated, the recovering and those who do not, will have to perform a corona test within 72 hours before departure to Israel and another test after landing in Israel.

Anyone who has not recovered or been vaccinated will have to stay in isolation upon his return to Israel in any case.

So far, airlines from only selected destinations have been allowed to fly to and from Israel, including Paris, London, Frankfurt, Moscow, Athens, Addis Ababa, Hong Kong, Kiev, Toronto, New York and Amsterdam approved this morning.

Now as stated, any destination restriction is expected to be lifted and airlines from all over the world will be able to fly in accordance with the passenger limit.

The Ministries of Health and Transportation will continue to monitor the development of mutations in various countries around the world.

The Prime Minister has authorized Transport Minister Miri Regev to close targets from which a mutation may emerge that could harm the unprecedented vaccination campaign in Israel.

Some of the countries that already receive tourists from Israel: Bulgaria, Ukraine, UAE, USA, Mexico, Turkey, Seychelles, Georgia, Serbia, Brazil, Croatia, Panama, Costa Rica, Tanzania, Maldives and other countries. It is important to emphasize that each country has conditions Different entries, some also require proof of vaccines.

Other countries, including Greece and Cyprus, are expected to allow vaccinated Israelis to enter their territory soon.

The Foreign Ministry is in contact with other countries.

Among the countries that have already announced that they intend to accept vaccinated tourists this coming summer: Thailand and Spain.
