Launching a large operation to pursue the remnants of (ISIS) terrorists in Diyala, Iraq

Today, the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces launched a large security operation to pursue the remnants of the terrorist organization ISIS in the northeastern Diyala Province.

Alsumaria News quoted the PMU as saying in a statement that the operation was launched with the participation of the Diyala Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces and the forces attached to it represented by the Diyala Call Brigades and the military engineering of the crowd with the support of the army aviation.

The statement indicated that the operation "is a continuation of the (Thar al-Shuhada) operations aimed at striking terrorist hideouts and ending the threat of ISIS terrorist threat to villages and regions in northeastern Diyala and imposing security and stability in them."

The joint Iraqi forces continue their security operations in various Iraqi regions to pursue the remnants of the "ISIS" terrorists and to clear their territories of terrorism.
