Palestine Foreign Ministry: International silence encourages the occupation to persist in its crimes

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated that the silence of the international community encourages the Israeli occupation to persist in its crimes and to continue implementing its settlement plans aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause.

In a statement carried by Wafa, the Foreign Ministry condemned the announcement by the Israeli occupation of a new settlement plan today to seize tens of dunams of Palestinian land in the city of Bethlehem in the West Bank, especially in the towns of Nahalin and Husan, with the aim of establishing new settlement units to expand an established settlement in the area and create settlement roads.

The Foreign Ministry stated that the international silence regarding the violations and crimes of the occupation and its settlers is suspicious, and it has become complicity if not participation in the crime, stressing the need for the international community to break its silence and take decisive measures to stop these crimes that rise to the level of war crimes and crimes against humanity and hold those responsible accountable.
