2021-03-14T20:19:43.609Z

The Jünglinge collective represents a new generation of filmmakers in Germany. How do you experience the cinema industry criticized as anti-queer?

To the people

Faraz Shariat, Paulina Lorenz and Raquel Dukpa, all born in 1996, met at the University of Hildesheim.

Shariat studied scenic arts, Lorenz and Dukpa cultural studies.

In 2015 they founded the film production company Jünglinge.

Her debut film »Futur Drei« received the First Steps Award in 2019.

A year later, the film won the Teddy Award for the best queer feature film at the Berlinale.

Most recently, the collective wrote and shot three episodes for the sixth season of the ZDF youth series "Druck".

"We wanted to share the money and prestige of 'Future Three' with the right people."
