ZAKA chairman Yehuda Meshi Zahav arrived at the Lahav 433 entrance gate on his own initiative yesterday and demanded to enter the National Fraud Investigation Unit, in order to hand over his version as part of the investigation opened against him on suspicion of committing sexual acts on men and women in the ultra-Orthodox community.

His arrival at the unit came a day after police announced they had opened an investigation into the allegations against him.

A police officer from the IDF was called to the entrance gate and made it clear to Zahav Zahav that this was not acceptable, as at this stage he was not summoned for questioning or testimony, and he left the place. They are having a hard time convincing them to file a complaint. Golden silk arrived at the Lahav 433 offices, accompanied by his attorney, Adv.

"He has nothing to hide"

"He can no longer stand what is being done to him in the media," one of his associates said yesterday, adding that "he denies what is attributed to him in the media and feels a strong desire to know what he is suspected of and give his version."

His lawyer's lawyer Dimari said: "My client, as a believer in his innocence, initiated the unusual move and put himself under investigation for a blade. My client has nothing to hide, everything is malicious rumors."

At the same time, Lahav 433 appeared yesterday to testify to Zviki Fleischman and Shana Aharonson, two activists in the Magen organization that assisted in the investigation against gold silk published in Haaretz.

The two provided police investigators with the materials in their possession, as well as the details of some of those who testified to the investigators and other testimonies that had reached the organization in recent days.

It is estimated that as part of the investigation, senior members of the ZKA and public figures in the ultra-Orthodox sector are expected to testify, in order to find out whether they knew about his actions and did not report them.

Members of the Magen organization provided investigators with details and addresses of those who claimed to have been harmed by gold silk, and provided a detailed version of what they know about his exploits over the years.

The affair, for which the silk itself is a golden silk from his position in the ZKA, and even gave up the Israel Prize, erupted following an investigation in the Haaretz newspaper according to which the golden silk allegedly committed sexual offenses, including among minors.

Since the publication of the investigation, additional testimonies have been published in the media by men and women who claimed to have been sexually harassed by Golden Silk, who even threatened them that if they told about his actions he would be swallowed up.

An investigation published by Aharon Rabinowitz and Shira Alec cited the testimony of six of its alleged victims of Golden Silk, but it was alleged that he allegedly carried out a greater number of sexual assaults over four decades.

It was further alleged that Golden Silk took advantage of the willingness of many ultra-Orthodox youths to volunteer for the ZAK in order to sexually exploit them.

More inquiries came

Over the past week, several additional, difficult testimonies have been published, and according to sources involved in the details, there are other stories and events that have not yet been published.

The "Do Not Shut Up" organization says that since the testimonies were published, they have received several more inquiries.

These inquiries, only preliminary, are examined by the competent authorities.

"Do not be silent" says that it is not impossible that this is credible evidence, but there is always the possibility that such and other factors are interested in casting a shadow over the entire affair through fictitious evidence, so every testimony is carefully examined.

A source knows something that he spoke with "Israel Today" generally confirmed the correctness of the allegations made in the Haaretz investigation, without specifically confirming any of the evidence published.

According to him, the deeds of gold silk have been known for many years in many ultra-Orthodox circles.

BZKA, meanwhile, is silent

The storm did not pass over the ZKA organization. Despite the fact that Zeshi Zahav announced a time-out from the organization, and its leaders announced that they were shaking off the acts, there is a significant crisis among the volunteers. While another family needs me, "one of the volunteers told Israel Today. Others refer the reporters to a ZAK spokesman and refuse to comment on the most difficult affair the organization has ever known.
