The city is doing "

everything possible to maintain an educational service as less degraded as possible

", but it is preparing to have to "

resolve to close schools and extra-curricular centers

" in the coming days, for want of being able to replace all the staff who ensure the proper functioning of schools and are affected by the virus or contact cases, she said in a statement.

The education department has mobilized "

reinforcements

", notably via the health reserve, and "

recruits daily to try to replace absent agents

", such as cleaning staff, Atsem (regional agents specializing in nursery schools) or the facilitators.

A "worrying" situation

Thursday, 80 school agents and 115 extracurricular animators had to be replaced and, "

for the first time on Monday

", the city decided to close for two days the extracurricular reception of one of its nursery schools, for lack of being able to replace the agents.

The environmentalist mayor of Besançon, Anne Vignot, called for "

the responsibility and vigilance of everyone for the respect of barrier gestures

 ".

Since the beginning of March, nearly 900 students from Bisont have had to be placed in solitary confinement, according to the city.

Throughout the Bourgogne Franche-Comté region, and particularly in the Besançon sector, the South African and Brazilian variants of the coronavirus represent 12% of positive tests, a situation deemed "

worrying

 " by the Doubs prefecture.

The incidence rate in the department “

is 240.4 per 100,000 inhabitants

” for the week of March 3 to 9.

On Monday, wearing a mask became compulsory throughout the Doubs department.
