300 teenagers demonstrated tonight (Monday) in front of the Tel Aviv State Attorney's Office requesting to aggravate the indictment filed last week against Yarin Sharaf Begin for a prohibited cause with the consent of the 13-year-old in the Corona Hotel, instead of rape.

The demonstration was organized by the "Slut Youth" of the "Kolan" movement and the "Women's Lobby."

"As a 16-year-old girl who stands here and demonstrates and sees people holding 'you are not guilty' and 'I believe you' signs, it gives me a sense of solidarity and that's what I am fighting for - that no one will feel alone and guilty," she told Walla!

Yarin Hazan, director of "Slut Youth".

She said, "This is ultimately what we are fighting for, that no one will feel the same way, and make a revolution in the justice system and that the prosecution will be undermined and realize that what they decided was illegitimate in any way."

"Everyone" CEO Bracha Bard protested that "it cannot be that the state is ignoring its duty to protect women and girls, it cannot be that the acting state attorney says there is no evidence of rape when it comes to a girl under the age of consent.

It is time for the system to start enforcing its laws and punishing those who break them.

Our youth deserve more. "

Last Friday, Acting State Attorney Amit Isman announced that he would reconsider the decision not to charge 13-year-old Sharaf with rape at the Corona Hotel.

Sharaf was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of consent, sexual harassment, threats, assault and supply of intoxicating liquor to a minor.

The State Attorney's Office said in a statement that Isman will hold an urgent hearing headed by him regarding the affair, together with the relevant parties.

The decision not to prosecute Sharaf for rape provoked public outrage.

The complainant's mother and attorney Amit Hadad, from the Haddad Roth Shenhar law firm, which represents the family, criticized the indictment: "This is rape, and any other interpretation is sinful to the truth.

Worse, this decision gives the green light and prepares for the next rape. "

According to the indictment, Sharaf had sex with the girl on two different occasions in her hotel room, despite the fact that one of the instructors at the place he recognized that he was contacting her asked him not to approach -13 because of the age difference between them.
