Disinfection steam spraying range can reach 1,000 feet

New World Development (0017) announced that it has invested in Rice Robotics, a robotics startup in Hong Kong, to jointly develop Hong Kong’s first multi-functional robot. In addition to the 4 disinfection robots currently purchased by K11 MUSEA, it will also order 60 more from Rice Robotics .

Li Guokang, the founder and chief executive officer of Rice Robotics, said that the monthly rent of this disinfection robot ranges from four to five digits per hour and continuously sprays safety-tested steam for K11 shopping malls with a spray range of 1,000 feet.

He also pointed out that in addition to the disinfected Jasmine, Rice Robotics currently has two robots, namely the Rice delivering food and the patrolling Portal.

Each device is a treasure, equipped with a lens and ultrasonic sensors, using optical radar, etc., to effectively locate and construct routes in real time to avoid obstacles.

New World assists in pushing robot products to Southeast Asia

Rice Robotics small robots were selected into Impact Kommons of the New World Start-up Acceleration Program at the end of December last year.

New World said

that the

robot invested and developed by Impact Kommons is the first Hong Kong-made robot that integrates food delivery, disinfection, patrol and other functions. It has a cute appearance and can dance and respond with real people. The public will be invited to participate in the naming.

Huang Zhennan, assistant general manager of the New World Development Innovation Platform, pointed out that he will assist Rice Robotics to further expand its products overseas. It has entered the Japanese and Thai markets earlier, and will expand the Korean and Southeast Asian markets in the future, and will launch a series of trainings with Rice Robotics. The plan is to upgrade Hong Kong's high-tech industries and cultivate local scientific research talents.

Impact Kommons is Hong Kong's first start-up acceleration plan based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Through the New World business experience and Asia-Pacific network, it supports green science and technology enterprises, including relevant guidance, business integration, etc.

It is reported that among the local start-ups of Impact Kommons selected this year, there are many solutions to help solve the increasingly serious environmental problems.

For example, Hengmu Environmental Technology recycles and recycles waste wood boards, and uses these wood boards to launch a systematic hoarding rental service, in order to bring a second life to these waste woods.

Another startup, V Cycle, which was selected for the program, hired local scavengers to collect plastic bottles and upgrade them into eco-friendly handbags to help them improve their lives.
