An attack with five Katyusha missiles targeted the Balad air base, which houses the forces of the so-called "international coalition" led by the United States, in the north of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
Alsumaria News quoted an Iraqi security source as saying in a statement today that “Balad Air Base was targeted by five Katyusha rockets, which occurred in the northwestern part of the base in an empty yard near the fence in Salah al-Din Governorate in central Iraq,” indicating that the targeting “was not followed. No material or human damages.
The explosion of an explosive device earlier today targeted a convoy of the US-led coalition forces in Babil Governorate, central Iraq.
