In the Be'er Sheva District Court, the evidentiary phase of the trial of the defendants in the Nahal Tzafit disaster, the director of the Bnei Zion Preparatory School, Yuval Kahan, and the instructor Aviv Berdichev continued today (Monday).

The two are charged with manslaughter lightly following their involvement in a 2018 disaster in which ten trainees were killed.

At this time, Noam Dor, who served as an instructor at the mechina, testifies.

Dor was questioned by police immediately after the disaster, but the investigation file against her was closed out of innocence.

Dor testified that she was very apprehensive about going on a trip because of the stormy weather in the forecasts, and wanted to postpone it but Kahan insisted on going as planned.

"You have to understand the mindset of the preparatory course, do not give up on tours, everything is possible, do not go back, everything is always going to be okay," says Dor and "initiation went on trips in the rain and I left them and laughed at me and dropped me.

" We had a meeting the day before it Yuval explained "How do you go for a walk despite the flood," Dor testified, recounting how she expressed her fear of the weather.

Dor claims to have warned several times that floods are expected in Nahal Tselim, the original destination of the trip.

Dor consulted on the matter with her father, Zvika Dor, deputy commander of the Arad rescue unit, who sent warning messages to his daughter.

Dor sent her father's message to the instructors' WhatsApp group, so Kahan and Berdychev saw her father's warning.

The trip to Nahal Tselim was canceled due to the closure of the roads near the river.

The students of the mechina then arrived in the area of the camel pens, and the next morning they went for a walk in Nahal Tzafit.

Dor stayed in the HFK outside the creek channel. Dor later received alerts about rain falling in the creek drainage basin and tried to call Berdychev and warn him of the rain, but he decided to continue the hike.
