Since the beginning of the year, the consumer price index has risen by 0.2%, and in the last 12 months, ie in February 2021 compared to February 2020, the consumer price index has remained unchanged.
A change in the prices of the housing market that is not part of the consumer price index was also examined.
Comparing the prices of transactions made in December 2020 to January 2021 compared to the prices of transactions made in November 2020 to December 2020, it was found that apartment prices increased by 0.9%, thus completing an increase of 4.3% compared to the same period last year, ie in December 2019 to January 2020.
In the segmentation of changes in housing prices by district in December 2020 to January 2021, compared with November 2020 to December 2020, price increases were found in all districts: in the north there was an increase of 1.6%, in Tel Aviv of 1.3%, in Haifa of 1.1%, in the south of 0.8% and in Jerusalem And in the center there was an increase of 0.3%, each.
In the segmentation of changes in apartment prices by district compared to the corresponding period last year, December 2020 to January 2021 compared to December 2019 to January 2020, price increases were recorded in all districts: north with an increase of 6%, in Tel Aviv with 5.2%, in the center with 3.5%, in the south an increase of 3.4%, in Jerusalem an increase of 3.2% and in Haifa an increase of 1.7%.
In the price index of new dwellings, it was found that their prices increased in the months of December 2020 to January 2021, compared with November 2020 to December 2020 by 1.2%.
