The Excellence and Creativity Commission announced the names of the members of the national teams that will represent Syria in the World Olympiad competitions for the summer of 2021 in the specializations of "Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics"
The commission indicated in its announcement, which SANA received a copy of today, that according to the results of the selection tests that took place last week, Syria will be represented in the field of physics students, “Abdullah Al-Husni from Damascus, Abdel Aziz Jerbi from Aleppo, Ruaa Yusef Al-Rifai from Damascus countryside, Hadi Salloum from Tartous and Ammar Yasser Rajab. From Latakia, ”the reserve team includes“ Muhammad Subhi Abu Radan from Aleppo and Ammar Wael Ali from Lattakia. ”

The authority indicated that the results of the selection tests can be objected to 3/19-2021, and the results of the objection will be issued on the twenty-second of this month.
Last week, 155 male and female students who qualified from the finalists of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad participated in the selection tests over a period of four days at the Ebla Hotel and the Umayyad Conference Palace in Damascus in the specializations of "physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics."
Selection tests for informatics specialization will be held during the period between 3 and 7 of next April at the Faculty of Informatics Engineering at the University of Damascus.
The World Olympiad will be held in Russia, physics "from a distance" in Lithuania, "chemistry" in "remote" in Japan, biology "from a distance" in Portugal, and informatics in Singapore.
