Without legal reform there is no right Israel today

If Goldfish had offered me a deal: a recalibration of the justice system in exchange for the immediate evacuation of a locality or two in Judea and Samaria - I would have agreed immediately • Opinion

  • Hearing in the High Court

The writer of these lines defines himself as a classic political-conservative right-wing man.

Until recently, my conservatism and right-wingness were defined according to the old and familiar equation that consists of two factors: holding as strong as possible throughout the territories of Israel and Judea and Samaria along with a free economy. (More) Failure to build permits in any locality on the one hand and (more) surrender to such and other Histadrut elements that will cost us money again have led to overt anger, complaints and anger at such and other leftist organizations and the government succumbing again (and again) to any whim or external pressure.

Lately my definition as a conservative right-wing man has changed radically.

I am still an ardent supporter of construction and sovereignty in all parts of the country and Judea and Samaria in particular, and I am still randomly looking for a mast wall where I can bang my head in despair whenever I come across another demagogic fabrication called "Poverty Report" (Synopsis: There are a billion poor in the streets More money from heaven) and more other stains of socialism that have never been tried.

The thing is, these two have been pushed for respect to more backward places.

The demand, not to mention the war, for the first place in the definition of being a right-wing man, for a profound reform of the Israeli legal system, which is today the sovereign in the field, took first place.

Like any good right-winger, the understanding came late and especially after watching the Israeli left, Amok clung to everything related to the system and its many appendices: the advisers, officials, prosecutors and other members of the junta;

Not to mention the wonder of the cries of rupture and the retrieval of images of the German oppressor whenever any drowsy law is proposed which may in one way or another limit the edge of authority to any clerk.

The vast majority of that legal and clerical junta apparently do not vote ‘sick’.

And this is no accident.

The legal and bureaucratic stronghold is the main reason why there is really no effective right-wing government in Israel.

We are in the midst of a quiet and steady coup d'etat that no longer hides behind legal quibbles and already proudly declares: We jurists know what is good for the citizen, and for the hell of democracy

Today we are a step before making the situation irreversible.

Legal advisers have become de facto policymakers, officials decide whether or not to take political and military action (!), And Mandelblit, in the midst of a raging epidemic, announces that it should be discussed at all whether to prevent vaccine opponents from endangering public health.

The opinions of readers of these lines regarding Judea and Samaria, economy, policy and even the epidemic of the Corona have already become irrelevant.

This can still be dealt with.

On the fact that their votes at the polls also become meaningless - it can no longer be restrained.

There is no one action today - one!

- Non-reversible, castration, cancellation, cynolism or smearing: not in settlement, not in the struggle against infiltration and new from the oven - not even in determining the Jewish identity of the Jewish state

Had a magical goldfish offered me the following deal: a recalibration of the judicial system and the immediate eviction of a locality or two in Judea and Samaria, I would have immediately agreed.

here and now.

We can finally build the settlement again, the judicial coup is almost impossible to stop.

This is today the main test of the right.

If you believe in the Greater Land of Israel, the strengthening of borders and the strengthening of Jewish identity in the State of Israel, and yet you still think that the legal system in Israel should be preserved, well, like a vegan celebrating in a meat restaurant - feel free to lie to yourself as much as you want.

Right you are not.
