The team, which encountered some technical problems during its presentation, lifted the veil on its prototype for the 2021 season of the World Endurance Championship.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the Alpine Endurance season throughout the year will experience a few fewer hiccups than during the official presentation of the 2021 car on Tuesday afternoon.

Organized online, the event started almost an hour behind schedule due to technical issues encountered by the team.

But after a long wait, the A480, which will defend its chances in the Hypercar championship, the premier category newly created after having battled in LMP2, the second division (three wins in 2016, 2018 and 2019) since 2013, s' is finally unveiled.

Unsurprisingly, the car displays the emblematic royal blue of the brand founded by Jean Rédélé in 1955 and the tricolor flag on its sides at the rear.

The team supported by Signatech will enter a car, struck with the n ° 36, against the Toyota hybrids in particular.

The car will be entrusted to the very experienced Nicolas Lapierre (four victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans), his compatriot Matthieu Vaxiviere and the Brazilian André Negrão.
