Last Saturday evening, the media reported that activists of Tikva Hadasha were attacked by Likud activists at a conference held in Moshav Azaria in the South.
It was alleged that they were attacked with sticks, stones, bottles and explosives.
It was also reported that one of the conference attendees was injured, lost consciousness and was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
They cited allegations by Saar activists of a brutal attack by Likud activists, who arrived at the scene.
Saar himself issued a statement: "Tonight, people who came to my conference in Moshav Azaria were attacked by babysitting thugs, who were sent with the aim of blowing it up. They threw explosives, stones and eggs."
Saar also wrote: "A man was injured, lost consciousness and evacuated."
One of the new Tikva activists even said that the event organizers intend to file a complaint about the attack.
However, according to the "Israel Today" investigation, the events described did not happen.
Both the police spokeswoman and the MDA spokeswoman did not issue any statement that evening about an unusual incident that took place in Moshav Azaria.
A spokeswoman for the Shefela area police said regarding the assault incident that "no complaint has been filed and no injuries have been reported."
A police source told Israel Today: "There was nothing. Everything is inflated by the media."
An inspection with MDA also revealed that no one was injured. MDA teams who were at the scene were asked to provide treatment to the person, who he said was injured by an egg thrown at him, but according to MDA no damage was identified.
It should be noted that a similar incident took place on Sunday evening, when reporters received a message from a new Tikva party that Likud activists had attacked Ofer Berkovich, number 13 on the Knesset's new Tikva list, during an election tour of the Mahane Yehuda market in Jerusalem.
In this case, too, no unusual incident was reported by the police and no complaint was filed on behalf of the candidate or the party.
It is important to note that from both events, photographs were distributed in which Likud activists were seen demonstrating and chanting slogans at the people of New Hope.
In Moshav Azaria, there is no violence between the parties beyond the calls, and in the Yehuda camp there is a gathering, but it is not entirely clear who the Likud members are and who the New Tikva activists are.
It seems that the significant deterioration in the polls of Gideon Saar's new hope, who started the race as the second largest party, with more than 20 seats, leads them to try a new direction in recent days - accusing the Likud and Netanyahu of using violence against them.
