The teachers at BLLV Erding do not want to be responsible for the corona rapid tests in classrooms. These are their arguments.

The teachers at BLLV Erding do not want to be responsible for the corona rapid tests in classrooms.

These are their arguments.

Erding -

On Monday, alternating lessons began again across the district - although there is still no corona test strategy for students and teachers.

The BLLV-Kreisverband Erding defends itself against the fact that the antigen rapid tests are carried out in the classrooms - by children and adolescents under the supervision of the teachers.

Corona in Bavaria: No test strategy for schools - teachers defend themselves against rapid tests in the classroom

"The latest ideas for testing schoolchildren, which have now been published by the Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs, leave the teaching staff more and more confused," explain the two chairmen Michael Oberhofer and Michael Braun in a press release.

"What at first glance might look like a good idea, turns out to be a vote of no confidence by the Ministry of Culture in relation to the parents and, if you are a responsible teacher, an unaffordable medical task."

Braun and Oberhofer point out the associated problems.

Even six-year-olds would have to handle the chopsticks, go through the instructions with the teachers.

In addition, not everyone takes part, if only because the parents have not given their consent.

Erding: Teachers against corona rapid tests in the classroom - massive violation of the protection of patient data

But what is the result if a test is positive, ask the BLLV representatives.

You see a massive breach of patient data protection.

Because the student would have to be isolated immediately.

The whole class would hear live who could have been infected with Sars-CoV-2.

Oberhofer and Braun asked themselves whether the entire class would have to be quarantined for 14 days immediately.

If the test had been done at home, it might not get that far.

“Is that what our minister of education Michael Piazolo is planning and wanting?” The headmasters from Isen and Wartenberg ask provocatively.

School in corona lockdown: Teachers demand - "The test location must clearly be at home"

The BLLV does not deny the need for regular corona tests.

“We also like to carry out these self-tests on ourselves, we also like to distribute the test sets to the students.

But the test location must clearly be at home. ”This way, the students could“ go to school with a good feeling ”.

Braun and Oberhofer ask themselves: “Why does the Ministry of Culture obviously not want this?

Is there a problem with trust in the parents? ”You yourself are convinced“ that the parents can and want to do that ”.

Teachers are educators, "we also do this job with pleasure and passion".

But you are not a medical staff.

The BLLV counts on a "trusting cooperation with the parents".

Karin Leidenberger is a passionate cook: Nevertheless, the Erdinger woman closes her restaurant "Karin's Essen with body and soul" at the beginning of May.

She has found a new job.

And the (love) life of an Erdinger woman has so far gone wrong that the 49-year-old has now been on trial for the second time.

She left that with a fine of 2700 euros.

By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our new, regular Erding newsletter.
