“
Teleworking will increase, we will not return to normal!
“Asked this morning about Public Senate, the secretary general of the CFDT Laurent Berger expressed his fears about the generalization of home work.
He also indicated that the state should force companies to pay the bonus of 1000 euros to employees announced this Monday, March 15 by Jean Castex.
Finally, he clarified that according to him, the very high salaries should be taxed more to finance the recovery at the end of the covid-19 epidemic.

"
We see that teleworking leaves very few breaks for employees, including for lunch,
" Laurent Berger explained.
He added that these new ways of working encourage weariness and isolation.
“
Work is also a collective skill and an extremely strong social bond
,” he said.
Teleworking needs to be much better supervised.
"
Impose the premium of 1000 euros
On the bonus of 1000 euros to all employees announced by Jean Castex this Monday evening, Laurent Berger said he was rather satisfied, but suspicious.
First, because "
we need long-term recognition, a revaluation of the salary scale, of working conditions
", he said, adding that "
this bonus cannot be balanced against all accounts
".
Then because Laurent Berger fears that this bonus will not be paid to all, companies not being forced to do so.
"
You have to force the branches to engage in it,
" he said.
We want the state to have a right of return if the branches do not commit to it, a much stronger constraint.
"
Laurent Berger then deemed "
absolutely essential
" the continuation of learning aid, but on the hiring bonuses for young people, he referred to the "
windfall effects
" of companies which "
would have hired anyway
" and who hire at low cost.
Finally, the secretary general of the CFDT explained that he wanted to tax the highest incomes, mainly "
all those who took advantage of this period to increase incomes
".
He also said he was in favor of tools for flagging the savings of the French towards investments "
in ecological transition and the fight against inequalities
".
