Syria affirmed its rejection of foreign interference in the affairs of the People's Republic of China and stressed that no country or party has the right to interfere in the internal affairs of independent and sovereign states.

An official source in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement to SANA today: “The government of the Syrian Arab Republic supports the decision of the fourth session of the Thirteenth National People's Congress regarding improving the electoral system for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, which is another major step taken by the People's Republic of China to improve legal systems. And politics in the Hong Kong region following the adoption of the National Security Protection Act in it last June 2020. ”
