Scientists of the German Paul Ehrlich Institute for Vaccines and Medicines have linked an increase in cases of a rare type of blood clot after vaccination against (Covid 19) and the British-Swedish company AstraZeneca vaccine.
The RIA Novosti agency quoted the institute’s experts as saying that the analysis of the new data "showed an increase in cases of a rare type of blood clot in the brain veins associated with low blood platelet counts and bleeding" and that "coincided with vaccination with the AstraZeneca vaccine."
The institute's experts confirmed that the new data is being studied by the European Medicines Agency, calling on everyone who received the AstraZeneca vaccine and whose condition continued to deteriorate four days after the vaccination, to "seek immediate medical assistance."
Yesterday, Germany stopped using the AstraZeneca vaccine to vaccinate its citizens against Corona, joining Austria, Estonia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Denmark, Iceland, Bulgaria, Norway, Italy, France and Spain.
