Since the foundation of the local association in May 2019, the Greens have been bringing a breath of fresh air to the Isar valley community.

Now there is a change at the top.

Icking

- The Ickinger Greens have a new top management: Laura von Beckerath-Leismüller is the new spokeswoman.

She succeeds Dr.

Michael Prosinger, who had headed the local association since it was founded in May 2019.

Your deputy is Philipp Federspieler, the secretary is Dr.

Anja Tabbert-Zitzler.

This is the result of a general meeting that took place at the beginning of March.

The digital election result was subsequently confirmed in writing by means of a ballot box.

The new local chairwoman had no opponent and was elected unanimously.

The orientation of the Ickinger Greens is very clear: "Our top priority is climate protection," explains the new chairwoman.

“We have managed to have an environmental committee in Icking that will reissue the climate protection plan.” The “Ickinger Climate Days”, which are to take place in the summer, have also been initiated.

In addition, the topic of transparency is extremely important for Laura von Beckerath-Leismüller.

"We want to make the work of the municipal council more transparent and decision-making processes more understandable," she explains.

The request to publish the voting behavior of the individual groups anonymously had been rejected.

“At least it was decided to publish the minutes of the meeting on the municipality's website in the future.” The Greens also want to pursue topics such as the further expansion of the cycle paths and an idea for a youth club.

Climate protection is right at the top of the agenda

Philipp Federspieler was newly elected to the local board as deputy board member, also unanimously and without opposing candidates.

He succeeds Dr.

Philipp Geiger, who represents the Greens in the local council.

"A successful energy transition on site, a lively and colorful village life with meeting places for young and old as well as a safe coexistence of all road users are the topics that are important for the future of Ickings", says Federspieler.

Secretary Dr.

Anja Tabbert-Zitzler was also elected unanimously and without opponents.

The outgoing local chairman Prosinger was proud of what had been achieved.

"When the local association was founded in May 2019, who would have thought that we could win a quarter of the Ickingen votes straight away with our own list in the local elections," he says.

In other words: The Greens hold four out of 16 mandates.

The mandate holders are Laura von Beckerath-Leismüller (also Third Mayor), Philipp Geiger, Sabrina Stör and Jörg Überla.

Prosinger: "We have a great team."
