The Syrian Virtual University and the Excellence and Creativity Commission launched today the 2021 version of the programming marathon competition for children and adolescents as part of their digital development project for children and adolescents.
The programmatic marathon, in its stages and training, targets children between the ages of 8 and 11 and adolescents between the ages of 12 and 15 years.
The registration for the marathon will continue until the tenth of next April through the electronic form on the official page of the competition on the social networking site Facebook, provided that training centers are secured in various governorates and regions with the start of the first stages of the marathon.
The training program for the marathon to be organized next August includes specific training and qualification stages, scientifically and temporally specific, during which qualifying tests are conducted and appropriate training is provided on various software technologies and on logical thinking mechanisms for children and adolescents in various Syrian governorates in a way that helps support the ability of Syrian youth and young people to compete globally. During a press conference at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Director of the Lifelong Learning Center at the Syrian Virtual University, Saya Google, stated that the most important goals of the marathon are to raise the general scientific level and enhance the logical analysis skills and creative thinking of young people and adolescents by teaching them scripting and graphic programming languages and providing programming training for them on A trend that reflects positively on their educational attainment and their global participation.
