In occupied Palestine and more than two hundred cities around the world, the activities of the resistance week (apartheid and Israeli colonialism) are continuing to expose the crimes committed by the occupation and to mobilize the support of the peoples of the world for the Palestinian struggle in confronting the violations of the occupation and the practices of apartheid in light of the failure of the United Nations to implement the resolutions of international legitimacy.
The Apartheid Resistance Week, whose first session was launched in South Africa in 2005, began its activities for this year two days ago under exceptional circumstances the world is going through with the spread of the Corona epidemic, but that did not prevent Palestinians from reviving it in various cities and towns in addition to organizing dozens of organizations, unions and popular committees around the world. A series of activities that included seminars, workshops, and solidarity stances, as well as launching electronic campaigns on social media sites in solidarity with the Palestinian people, denouncing the practices of the occupation and appealing to the free people of the world to support the Palestinian people in their struggle and struggle against the Israeli occupation.
President of the International Organization for Supporting the Rights of the Palestinian People, Salah Abd Al-Ati, explained in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the Israeli "Apartheid" week, which was launched in more than 200 cities around the world, constitutes an important international occasion in order to inform the world about the violations and racism of the Israeli occupation, including settlement and land grab To besieging the Palestinians, killing them, arresting them and deporting them. It also constitutes an important opportunity to strengthen international solidarity with the struggle of the Palestinian people, support their legitimate rights, and expand the international boycott of the occupation in various fields, calling on the international community to triumph for the rights of the Palestinian people and their just cause and to move seriously to oblige the occupation to implement the decisions of international legitimacy.
For his part, the coordinator of the People's Committee for Resistance of the Apartheid Wall and Settlement, Salah Al-Khawaja, said that the activities of the Apartheid Resistance Week were launched this year from the lands of the village of Hamsa al-Fawqa in the northern Jordan Valley, whose tents were demolished for the sixth time in a row after the demolition of the village's homes last November to displace Palestinians and expand settlement operations. He pointed out that these activities will continue until Earth Day, on the 30th of March.
Al-Khawaja indicated that the week of resistance to Israeli apartheid comes this year as the occupation continues to demolish Palestinian homes and properties, isolate Palestinian neighborhoods, villages and towns from each other to expand settlement operations and implement colonial annexation plans that threaten to seize 60 percent of the West Bank.
In turn, the director of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority in the northern West Bank, Murad Istiwi, explained that the racist practices of the occupation against the Palestinians are too many to count. Shteiwi pointed out that the activities of the Israeli Colonial Apartheid Resistance Week will culminate on Land Day with wide Palestinian and international participation, with the aim of drawing the world's attention to the crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians, as its atrocities exceeded the practices of the apartheid regime in South Africa.
