A Sana camera toured the city of Rastan and monitored the reality of life there and met a number of people, as Muhammad al-Rajab, a resident of the city, confirmed that the city of Rastan is now safe and that the people have returned to the work that they were previously forced to leave during the presence of terrorist groups.

Al-Hajj Abu Muhammad indicated that he was abandoned by terrorist organizations from his home and left the city to return to it after he defeated terrorism, noting that "the features of comfort and safety are evident on the faces of the people, which they missed during the difficult days that the city witnessed during the presence of the terrorists."

The farmer, Muhammad al-Habib, works today in his field serving olive trees. He said that “With the return of safety to our city, the peasants returned to their lands that they were prevented from throughout the period of the existence of the terrorist organizations, they cultivate diligently to produce their crops, which are their source of livelihood,” affirming his adherence to his land and called upon everyone who fled to return to his country .

In the schools of the city, the educational process is witnessing stability, as most of the schools have been restored and students have returned to pursue their education. The student, Hoda Ammar, indicates that she left the city with her family and that they returned to her and renovated their home, and today she is pursuing her educational attainment and has obtained all the study requirements from the school.

The student Maryam Al-Mahmoud said that the school is her second home that she loves and that she will continue her studies in the city’s schools in order to fulfill her dream in the future.

Alaa Mansour, the supervisor of the educational complex in the city of Rastan, explained that the reality of the educational process in Al-Rastan “compared to what the city was subjected to in terms of terrorism and destruction, which has now reached an advanced stage, especially that during the presence of terrorists most schools were destroyed and out of service. Schools until we arrived today to enter most of them into service, as we now have (a school at the level of the educational complex in Rastan) and all of them are complete with teaching staff.

In the other neighborhood of the city, where the bakery is located, the supervisor of the bakery indicated that “with the terrorists leaving the city, a temporary bakery was prepared, and today it provides bread on a daily basis to the people and covers the city of Rastan and a large part of its villages.”

In the context of government efforts to secure service facilities for areas liberated from terrorism, the city of Rastan witnessed remarkable activity for restoration and reconstruction workshops for various facilities. Muhammad Taybani, head of the Rastan City Council, explained that after “liberating the city from the abomination of terrorism, state institutions entered it immediately to restore services to the people who interacted with all responsibility with All these efforts by forming a group of civil activities to restore service facilities and restore them to work, ”pointing out the positive reflection of this interaction between government efforts and civil activities, which contributed to the rapid return of the displaced people to their city.

Tayebani indicated that the council is currently working according to a plan to restore all roads destroyed by terrorist organizations, and to continue the reconstruction process at the city and countryside level.
