The amounts are revealed: Israel spent NIS 2.6 billion on vaccination deals

Representatives of the Ministry of Finance and Health revealed the numbers at a discussion in the Knesset Finance Committee, after receiving approval from the Prime Minister's Office.

An additional NIS 2.5 billion is expected to come out in the future, but not all of the vaccines will be used

Israel has so far spent NIS 2.6 billion on vaccination deals, and is expected to spend another 2.5 billion in the future - this was revealed today (Tuesday) by representatives of the Ministry of Finance and Health in the Finance Committee, in response to committee chairman MK Moshe Gafni (Torah Judaism).

During the committee's discussion, it was approved to transfer an additional NIS 1.973 billion to the Ministry of Health.

The data was brought to the committee after a forced approval was received from the Prime Minister’s Office.

The committee also revealed that some of the vaccines purchased will not be used.

In the three months of the vaccination campaign, 5,200,395 people in Israel were vaccinated in the first dose, while 4,291,116 had already completely completed the vaccine, and also received the second dose.
