Our methodology
The Parisien-Today in France ranking, based on indicators provided by the National Education, highlights the ability of high schools to advance their students, including and above all in environments and regions where academic success is lacking. not taken for granted.
To achieve this, our ranking is based on the "added value" of high schools, that is to say the difference between the observed results of the establishments and the performance that the statistical services of National Education expect of them, at the end of the day. with regard to the educational and social profile of their students (patent success rate, bac courses, number of scholarship holders, etc.).
This added value is scrutinized in three areas: the pass rate in the bac, the rate of mentions and the support rate, i.e. the percentage of students who stay in the establishment of the second. at the baccalaureate.
To decide between the ties, we have chosen as the second criterion the gross success rate in the exam and as the third criterion the rate of mentions.
For reasons of statistical soundness, only high schools with at least 100 candidates for the bac appear in our ranking.
